Meet little Aria and her parents Angela and Chris. I met them about two months ago at our epic maternity photoshoot. This time they invited me to their beautiful home for a newborn session.
As much as I love cute nurseries and cozy homes, I can never miss a cute porch or backyard. Since baby Aria was born in summer, I jumped into the opportunity to photograph her outdoors – with colorful hydrangeas in full bloom and fuzzy peaches riping on the trees!
On the day I came for the newborn photoshoot, Angela had major doubts about getting in front of the camera. I completely feel her: exhaustion after giving birth, establishing a breastfeeding routine, and sleepless nights are the reality that most mamas go through in the first days! We had a small talk about how her baby girl would love to see her mama being in the pictures, how fleeting these precious first days are, and to my delight, this gorgeous mama decided to step into the frame! I think their first family portraits turned out so gentle, magical, and full of love!
Here is what Angela wrote to me right after she received her gallery:
Hi Julia – thank you so much! The pictures came out amazing! Thanks again for such amazing work and for capturing Aria and our family so perfectly!! I’m glad that you pushed Chris and I to be in the pictures as well – such a great decision!! We definitely would love to work with you again in the future!
All the best,
